Glencoe Independent Hostel, owned and run by outdoor enthusiasts Keith and Davina Melton, is set in its own grounds at the foot of historic and dramatic Glencoe.

We’re perfectly located for those seeking accommodation on a budget and who want to explore the west coast of the Scottish Highlands.

Glencoe really is one of the most iconic and memorable places you’ll visit in Scotland and whilst you are here you can explore the mountains, glens, forests and waterfalls – it’s a wonderful playground for those who love the great outdoors!

Family Friendly Hostel and Bunkhouse
The accommodation at Glencoe Independent Hostel comprises of our Alpine Bunkhouse sleeping up to 16 in 3 bedrooms, plus 2 self contained Bothies (cottages), 4 modern static caravans and 3 log cabins, all with decks. We are able to offer private and family rooms. We can cater for individual travellers and large groups alike.

You can expect a friendly welcome at any time of the year and our top class drying room is always available.

There’s plenty to see and do in the local area too, with Glencoe Village just 1 ¼ miles away:

The world famous Clachaig Inn is just 20 minutes walk away and offers live music weekends great food and drink.
The area is renowned for its world class high and low level walking, scrambling, climbing, kayaking, cycling and wonderful mountain scenery.
Glencoe Mountain Resort – skiing & boarding in the winter and mountain sports in the summer such as walking, climbing, downhill and cross country mountain biking & archery. We’re just 20 minutes drive away.
