Skyewalker Hostel makes an ideal base from which to explore the Cuillin mountain range, swim in the Fairy Pools, take a tour of Talisker whisky distillery, spot a sea eagle or a shooting star and see for yourself the spectacular, wild landscapes of the Isle of Skye. The hostel can sleep up to 50 people and has a variety of clean, comfortable rooms on offer, from private, twin en suite rooms to a 10-bed dorm.

Skyewalker Hostel has a stylish, well equipped kitchen, guitars in the cosy lounge and free, on-site parking. Outside, there’s a huge garden for guests to watch the spectacular sunsets from as well as an amazing glass solar dome to relax in. As there is so little light pollution, you’ll see the most awesome starry sky on a clear night with views of the Milky Way and even a chance to catch the Northern lights if you’re lucky!

Regular folk music sessions Skyewalker Hostel hosts regular Scottish folk music sessions and some instruments are provided for guests to play. It is also possible to book the hostel exclusively, (50 beds), for special occasions such as birthdays, Munro completion parties, family get-togethers etc, The Hostel is easy to get to once you have reached the Island of Skye.

Simply get to Sligachan which lies roughly in the centre of Skye. From there take the A863 for 5 miles to the turn off for Carbost which takes you onto the B8009.

Proceed through Carbost to Portnalong and you have arrived! or simply follow the bright green signs from Sligachan.
